Karen Coghlan Lic.Ac, RM
My name is Karen Coghlan Lic.Ac, RM. I qualified as an Acupuncturist (TCM) in 2001 at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York and finally completed my Midwifery qualification in 2011 after becoming a mother myself in 2009.
I am currently working as an Acupuncturist and a Community Midwife in Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas. I teach Antenatal Classes and also offer Birth Preparation workshops with a local yoga teacher Maria Oliver. Prior to relocating to Hemel Hempstead, I was based in South London and worked at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington as a Neonatal Nurse and then a Student Midwife.
I practise Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and specialise in providing acupuncture in pregnancy, I also use massage, cupping and moxibustion within my practise.

What are your opening hours?Sunday closed Monday 9am - 7pm Tuesday 12 noon - 5pm Wednesday 9am - 5pm Thursday 9am - 5pm Friday 9am - 5pm Saturday 9am - 1pm (every other week) Treatments by appointment only

Do you have parking?The street is parking zone C, permit parking only. You are welcome to park on our driveway, otherwise i will arrange a permit for you. Please provide your car registration number.

Is there a waiting area?Unfortunately there is no reception area, please wait in your vehicle until your appointment time.

What is your cancellation policy?During the pandemic there is no charge for cancellation if you have tested positive for COVID 19 or are isolating. Otherwise full cost of treatment is due if less than 48 hours notice is given (excluding cancellation from being in labour).
