What happens during a treatment
A full detailed medical history is taken, together with an inspection of your tongue, Chinese pulses are taking from your wrists and from all this information a traditional Chinese diagnosis will be made and a treatment plan.
Thin, fine needles are inserted into certain acupuncture points, according to an individuals’ treatment plan. Approximately 4-12 needles will be inserted for 15-30 mins. Sometimes massage, cupping and moxibustion will also form part of your treatment.
In general people tend to feel relaxed after a treatment and have a good night’s sleep.
Acupuncture
Balance Your Energies
Acupuncture is part of traditional Chinese Medicine dating back thousands of years originating in China. It is based on a theory whereby meridians (channels) of energy (qi) run all over the body. If a person is well the flow of qi runs smoothly if it is blocked illness and pain can occur. I use acupuncture, massage, cupping and moxibustion to stimulate the qi in the relevant channels and restore balance and wellbeing.
